Things You'll Need:
- 2/3 c of cola
- 1/4 c brown sugar
- 1/2 stick of butter
- ham
- cooking brush
-
Step 1
Start with a small sauce pan (just below med heat). To begin the glaze, add butter and brown sugar and melt slowly. Be careful not to let it scorch or burn. It should bubble and the sugar will melt completely.
-
Step 2
Next, add the cola to the sauce pan. Continue to stir until well mixed. Once combined, turn off heat. Brush glaze on ham several times and return to oven. Continue to brush on every 15 minutes until ham is done.
-
Step 3
Where's the ham? Your ham should be almost done before you add the glaze. Adding it too early will cause the sugar to burn. When the ham has about 45 minutes of cooking time left, remove it from the oven and begin the glaze process.
-
Step 4
Enjoy. Your ham should be brown and slightly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The glaze should give it a wonderful, sweet taste.
