After the children are gone or the fish have move on. The fish aquarium usually end up in the garage. A great way to recycle an aquarium is to use it as a mini greenhouse for your seeds development. Use a 30 to 40 gallon aquarium.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Clean the aquarium and towel dry. Place small smooth pebble rock in the bottom of the aquarium. Lightly water the plant the rock will serve as drainage. Add a layer of soil that need to cover the plants.

  2. Step 2

    Plant new seeds or small plants in the aquarium until they begin to outgrow the aquarium. To add side lighting. Make reflector to direct the light back inside the aquarium. Cut 8 x 11 four cardboard squares cover them with aluminum fold. place on all side. This will help the plant to grow upward and not side ways. Use this tip for any plant that is growing crooked.

  3. Step 3

    Use cardboard to make dividers between plant after they have grow two inches above the soil. Enjoy your table top greenhouse. Great for growing herbs.
