Jello Shots

Jello shots have become very popular and common in bars, at resorts and at regular family gatherings. Going back several years ago and many people had never even heard about them. The original jello shot was quite easy to make and included 3 simple ingredients.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Measuring cup
  • Sauce pan
  • Flavored jello
  • Water
  • Vodka
  • Small cups
  1. Step 1

Add 1 cup of water to a sauce pan and bring to a boil. When boiling, carefully pour water into a glass bowl.

  2. Step 2

Add 1 package of jello to the boiling water and stir with a spoon. Make sure that all of the jello has dissolved. One of the best flavors to use for jello shots is strawberry-banana jello.

  3. Step 3

Add 1 cup of vodka to the dissolved jello mix and stir again making sure it is mixed well and all jello from the bottom of the bowl is dissolved.

  4. Step 4

Use a shot glass to measure and pour the jello into small cups or shot glasses. This mixture will make approximately 20 jello shots. Place in the refrigerator to set.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use rum instead of vodka for a daiquiri flavor.
  • Add a small piece of fruit, such as a peach, for more flavor.
  • Pour the entire mixture into a bowl instead of cups.
  • Always use a bowl that is heat resistant when mixing boiling water.
