Pressure wash your lawn to rid of bugs

It’s spring time again and the winter has left your lawn dull and full of dead grass? No worries use this recipe to jump start your lawn into a thick green bug free lawn for the summer months. I do this every year wile I’m out cleaning the house and back patio and it really helps to jump start a lush green lawn when used a week before spreading lawn fertilizer. Do not over use this method to fertilize your lawn as with any fertilizer it can burn your lawn by overdosing it with ammonia.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 can of beer (not light beer)
  • 1 can of soda (not diet soda)
  • 1/2 cup ammonia (regular household strength)
  • 1/2 cup mouthwash (type not specified)
  • 1/2 cup dish soap (not anti-bacterial)
  • Pressure washer with a black tip and chemical injector
  1. Step 1

    Step one
Start by mixing the dish soap, mouthwash, and ammonia into a bucket and blend it together well, Follow by mixing in 1 can of pop and one can of beer and slowly stir until blended.

  2. Step 2

    Step two
Place your hoses around the middle of your lawn so you can get as far as you can without moving your pressure washer often, Pour the mixture into your soap tip or chemical injector container and turn on pressure washer.

  3. Step 3

    Step three
Apply to your lawn by spraying around with low pressure to cover large sections of your lawn at a time. Do not saturate your lawn only apply enough to lightly wet the entire lawn. You can apply this every 3 weeks in the hot summer months.
