People retain water for many different reasons, below is a simple guide on how to naturally try and lose the water weight.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Many people don't realize that if you don't drink much water, your body will actually retain water. If you want to lose water weight, try drinking more water. If you already drink the 8 glasses of suggested water per day, try to drink 2 more glasses of water, or instead you could drink 100% fruit juice which is mostly water. If you workout a lot, you should always be sure to drink extra water when you workout that isn't included in the 8 glasses per day rule. Otherwise you most likely will dehydrate your body due to the water you lose when sweating.

  2. Step 2

Start adding more fruit and vegetables to your diet. Fruits and vegetables help cleanse the body, which will help you lose retained water as well.

  3. Step 3

When you eat lots of sodium, your body will retain more water. Try cutting back on sodium and heavily processed foods. Also try to use more natural salt, like sea salt, rather than the heavily processed table salt.
