The GED test is comprised of mathematic and reading comprehension, English, science, and social studies questions. It also has an essay component. Passing a GED can be made much easier with a minimal amount of studying. Fortunately, there is an abundance of options when it comes to GED study guides and GED preparation.

    The most convenient option in preparing for the test is with an online GED study guide. Online you can find GED sample tests, sample test questions and essays, and general GED prep programs that you can complete in the comfort of your own home. Some of these study guides require a fee, but there are also some helpful ones that are completely free.

    Another easy online option is to take a GED prep course online. They GED online classes can be completed at your convenience and easily worked into even the busiest of schedules. These classes are meant to equip you with the basic foundation of knowledge needed to score a passing grade on the GED.

  3. Step 3

    Check into your local colleges; community and university, for GED preparation courses. These GED or adult basic education classes can help you brush up on the academic subjects that you need the most help on. These are often inexpensive and offered at flexible times in order to accommodate work schedules.

  4. Step 4

    Sometimes high schools offer GED prep courses as well. These courses are extremely helpful to those who have been out of school for a while and have not used math, science and language skills for a while.
