Pecan Pie became my favorite when I was younger and worked in an insurance company. It's hard to believe, but the cafeteria made the most delicious pie!
I can now enjoy my favorite pie anytime I want!

Venus Pecan Pie was shared and adapted by a family friend and is so easy to make! It's perfect for family backyard picnics, in the summer, Pot Luck dinners as it travels well or on your dessert table during the holidays.

If you have a sweet tooth, you won't want to miss this one!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1 Tbl. butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbl. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1 8-inch or 9-inch pie shell
  1. Step 1

    In a small bowl, beach the eggs with a whisk until just mixed.

  2. Step 2

    Add corn syrup, melted butter and vanilla to the egg mixture.

  3. Step 3

    Mix the sugar, flour and salt, and add the to above mixture.

  4. Step 4

    Grease pie pan or glass pie baking dish.

    Place pacans on the bottom of an unbaked pie shell. Pour in the above mixture. Pecans will rise to the surface.

  5. Step 5

    Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for approximately one hour, or until piece crust edges are lightly brown. Cool completely and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Tips & Warnings
  • Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (optional)
  • Serve warm (optional)
  • Refrigerate leftovers.
