1. The first thing that you should know is whether or not you actually have a talent that a television station would want to use. If you can sing, dance or act then you are pretty much in line with thousands of other pre-teens who want to realize the same dream.

   You should spend some time becoming familiar with the types of actresses that are normally used on Disney Channel shows. You can do this simply by visiting any number of websites that are operated by the Disney Channel and read up on some of the requirements of working for them.

2. You will also likely need to be living either in Hollywood or New York City or at the very least you should be within commuting distance from either of these areas. Most girls, once they become a Disney Channel actress, will be required to relocate to an area that is close to where they will be working.

   You should ensure that relocating is not going to pose a problem. You should also consider the amount of work that is involved with regards to your schoolwork. Make sure that you can handle the work while still keeping your grades at an appropriate level.

3. Check into acting classes. Many community colleges offer acting classes for a wide range of ages. Acting classes can help you to hone in on your talent and set you apart from the thousands of others who are trying to become a Disney Channel actress as well.

4. Take voice classes. If you sing, and even if you do not, you should consider taking voice classes. Most Disney Channel actresses have gone on to fame and fortune in the music industry. It makes you wonder if maybe their singing voices are what really set them apart from the crowd.

5. Be prepared to attend a number of auditions. Although you may just be the lucky one that gets an acting job at the very first try, most girls who have become Disney Channel actresses have auditioned for a number of parts before they landed that one role that made them famous. You need to have patience and attend every audition that you can.
