Make Puppy Chow, a Tasty People Snack

You will learn how to make puppy chow, a tasty people snack, by reading these instructions.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • one small sauce pan
  • one wooden spoon
  • one stick of butter or margarine
  • 12 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chip morsels
  • a half cup of peanut butter
  • 12 ounces of a chex-like cereal
  • 1 and a half cups of powdered sugar
  • one extra-large mixing bowl
  • one large bowl
  • one medium-sized mixing bowl
  • two large mixing spoons
  1. Step 1

Melt the butter in a small saucepan on the stove over low heat. Once the butter is fully melted, use the wooden spoon to mix it with the chocolate chips, stirring continuously. After the chocolate chips are fully melted and mixed with the butter, add the peanut butter, stirring continuously still. Once the peanut butter is fully melted into the mix, turn off the stove.

  2. Step 2

After pouring all of the cereal into the extra-large mixing bowl, slowly drizzle the chocolate mixture over the dry cereal, stirring constantly, until all of the chocolate is used up and all of the cereal is covered.

  3. Step 3

In the medium-sized mixing bowl, spoon in roughly 2 to 3 cups of the chocolate-covered cereal, and sprinkle about a ¼ cup of the powdered sugar over the top of the cereal. Using a folding method, carefully stir the cereal to coat it with the powdered sugar. Once that portion of cereal is coated, pour it into the large bowl and repeat the process until all of the cereal is coated with powdered sugar.

  4. Step 4

    Enjoy eating the puppy chow!
