Most people end up with a fingernail fungus or infection at one point in their life. Below are a few easy tips to help this avoid happening to you.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Use extra caution when clipping your fingernails, it's important to avoid any damage to the skin underneath and surrounding the nail. You should also clean your fingernail clippers off between use.

  2. Step 2

Be sure to wash your hands often, and always dry them afterwards.

  3. Step 3

Never share towels with other people, and don't use fingernail clippers that other people have used.

  4. Step 4

If you insist on going to nail salons, always be cautious where you go. Make sure they always use clean instruments, and pay attention to small details, like if the store is well kept or not. A lot of people with nail fungus get it due to going to sketchy nail salons that end up passing nail fungus from one customer to another.

  5. Step 5

It's never a good idea to wear fake nails. They make it so that the nail can't properly breathe, making them far more susceptible to an infection or funus.
