Step 1
Write articles and post them on article directories. However, don't just randomly list on hundreds of article directories, but rather post on directories that have at least a Google Page Rank 3 or better. There are so many new article directories now that your articles can get lost in the shuffle and won't get credit from the search engines simply because those sites have not built their own backlinks.
-
Step 2
Search for sites that compliment your own and offer to pay a small fee to be listed on their site. When negotiating, ask how many pages your link will be listed on and for how long. Again, look for sites with higher page ranks.
-
Step 3
Consider using a service like SubmitEdge.com to do social bookmarking for you. For as little as $35 they will manually post to 125 social bookmarking sites which will automatically give you 125 back links.
-
Step 4
Be careful using services that offer to get your thousands of backlinks
in a short amount of time. Thousands of backlinks suddenly popping up will scream backlink spam to the search engine and can get you blacklisted. Build at a reasonable rate, don't go for shortcuts. If you need to use a service, look for services that do the work manually and have a good reputation.
