Things You'll Need:
- wax paper (or non stick cookie sheet)
- popped popcorn
- salt
- coating of choice (chocolate chips: semi-sweet, milk, white; peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips, toffee bits, etc.)
- microwave safe bowl or double boiler (for melting)
- plastic sandwich bag (& scissors) or fork for drizzling
- Airtight container for storing
-
Step 1
Place the waxed paper or non stick cookie sheet on the counter or table and cover with a layer of popped popcorn.
-
Step 2
While the popcorn is still warm, lightly salt it (you'll want the salty flavor to balance out the sweetness of the drizzle).
-
Step 3
Melt baking chips in the microwave or on the stove using a double boiler (stirring often). Add a little oil if it isn't runny enough.
-
Step 4
Place the melted chocolate, peanut butter, or butterscotch in the sandwich bag and twist the opening closed.
-
Step 5
Carefully cut a small portion off of one of the bottom tips of the bag.
-
Step 6
Drizzle the contents of the bag over he popcorn, making sure that every piece has some drizzle on it.
-
Step 7
You can also simply scoop the melted chocolate, peanut butter, or butterscotch out of the bowl with a fork ad quickly shake the fork over the popcorn to add the drizzle.
-
Step 8
Let popcorn set for about 30 minutes. Then break it into chunks and store it in an airtight container ~If it lasts that long :)
