How to Install Hardware On Kitchen Cabinets

If you are unhappy with the way that your kitchen looks, then there is a relatively inexpensive way to change the looks of your cabinets dramatically. This can be done just by adding new hardware to the cabinets. This article will focus on how to install the hardware.

Things You'll Need:

• wood
• drill

1. First go to the store and buy the hardware that will look best on your cabinets.

2. Using a sticky tape find the place that you want your hardware to be placed. Stand back and make sure that this is the place that you want the hardware to be. Drill the hole.

3. Now you will build a jig that will help you install the hardware in the right place. First cut 2 pieces of plwood that are the same size. The cut a small strip of wood that is the same thickness of the cabinet.

4. Nail the small strip in the middle of the two pieces of plywood along the left side. Now take the jig and place along the cabinet edge and drill into the jig the exact same place that you drilled the first hole in the cabinet. Now you have a pattern. Place the jig on each cabinet and drill the holes for the hardware.

5. Place the hardware in the drilled holes.
