Prevention can sometimes be the best cure. Being over weight is one of the most common reasons for snoring. So take a look at your diet and exercise routine, if you can get down to a normal healthy weight you may find you’re snoring will reduce.

Avoid alcohol and fatty foods. Especially close to bedtime. Alcohol will relax the throat and narrow the passageway, which will lead to snoring.

Do not sleep on your back, sleep on your side. You may want to experiment to which side you should lay as this may have an effect on the frequency of your snoring.

Take a look at some of the products on the market for snoring. The Nasal strips may help increase airflow if you are a nasal snorer, or a firm anti-snore type pillow may help keep your passageways open by assisting the correct head posture.
