In this article, you will learn how to start your own soccer training business (although it could easily be used for other sports). You will learn how to market your services, set up appointments, prepare a training session, and finally do the training session. Who knew that by teaching kids soccer drills could earn you cash so easily?

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer/internet
  • Phone
  • Car to travel to soccer fields
  • Extra soccer balls
  • Stop watch
  1. Step 1

    Market your services
You need to let people know your services are available. You should do one or more of the following:
    -Ask friends and family
-Hand out fliers at a local soccer park after weekend games
-Put out fliers around the neighborhood
    -Put it up on craigslist.com

  2. Step 2

Set up training times to do drills
-After finding people that are interested, set up appointments to train.
-You want to make sure to be courteous and friendly as they might be apprehensive since they are contacting you.
-Also, establish your pricing at this time. (say $20 per hour)
-This is the point where you want to work out all the details and you want to ask the customer what they would like to get out the training session.(write this down)

  3. Step 3

    Prepare training session
-It is important to look at you notes from the last step.
-Prepare drills according to the customers goals and skill level.
-You can find drills on the net especially on youtube.com where you can see the kids actually doing the drill.

  4. Step 4

Do the training session - At this point you should be having fun. Run the customer through the drills that you have planned and make sure to keep the workout flowing. Finally, always make sure you are asking for ample feedback from the customer. Have fun!

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure to be courteous and friendly during the whole process.
  • After you gain customers, ask for referrals.
  • Make sure to prepare more than enough drills to do. It is okay to not finish all the drills, but unacceptable to run out of things to do.
