Make A Healthy Whole Wheat Sandwich

This sandwich is packed with healthy and tasty ingredients. It is a meal in itself both fulfilling your hunger and providing your body with necessary energy building food.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 slices whole wheat bread
  • 1 avocado
  • fresh spinach
  • fresh romaine lettuce
  • 1 tomato
  • alfalfa sprouts
  • 1 red onion
  • salt and pepper
  1. Step 1

    Cut the avocado in half. Wrap up and put away ½ of it. With the other half remove the skin and chop into squares. Place into a shallow bowl and and with a fork or the back of a spoon mash the avocado leaving it's texture course. Spread onto one side each of the whole wheat bread. Wash the spinach, romaine lettuce and the tomato.

  2. Step 2

    Slice three thick slices from the tomato. Place onto one of the avocado covered slices of bread. Place a few spinach leaves and two leaves of romaine lettuce onto the tomato. Place a separated slice of red onion onto the lettuce. Onto the other slice of bread place a generous handful of the alfalfa sprouts. Salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Step 3

    Close the sandwich up. You can eat it immediately or wrap it up and take it to work with you. It will fill you up by itself. If you feel that you might still be after eating the sandwich hungry pack a few pieces of cut up fruit or vegetables to go with the sandwich.
