How to Get Rid of Weeds and Grass

Spring is almost here and that means that it will be time to start an amazing garden for those who have a green thumb. While promoting the soil is tough enough, gardeners must also tackle the task of weeding their garden. This can sometimes take forever. Here are some tips for getting rid of weeds using simple items in your home.

Instructions

1. 

   Clorox Bleach: To kill weeds and grass growing in the cracks of walkways, pour undiluted Clorox Bleach over the weeds. Or, you can add bleach to a spray bottle and spray solution directly onto weeds. Weeds will begin to wilt almost immediately and should vanish in about 20-30 minutes. Spray area with a hose full of water to clean up beach solution when finished.

2. 

   Heinz White Vinegar: Pour undiluted Heinz White Vinegar directly onto weeds or grass to kill them instantly. This can be used in any area where weeds or grass are growing including gardens, driveways, and sidewalks. The vinegar solution suffocates weeds and prevents them from growing as fast into the season.

3. 

   Morton Salt: Pour Morton Salt directly on weeds during a hot sunny day to suffocate and kill weeds. Use enough salt to thoroughly cover weeds and grass, but be sure not to get any salt on your fresh, healthy plants. The salt will prevent further growing of weeds in that spot as well...at least until it rains a few times.

4. 

   Smirnoff Vodka: To kill weeds and grass, mix 3 tablespoons of Smirnoff Vodka and 2 cups of water in a trigger-spray bottle. Soak the weeds with the solution, but be sure to stay away from your healthy plants. Vodka dehydrates weeds and eliminates them from your garden, walkway, or driveway.

5. 

   Spray n' Wash: Spritzing Spray n' Wash on weeds and grass will kill them without harming the soil. Weeds should start to diminish immediately. Just be sure to keep the Spray n' Wash away from your other healthy plants.

• Take care to keep home remedies away from healthy plants so as to prevent them from wilting or dying along with the weeds.
