Learning how to make Monkey Tail Bread (easy recipe)

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 medium bananas
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1/2 semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter
  1. Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit. Grease only the bottom of a loaf pan.

  2. Step 2

    Beat 1/2 cup of shortening and the sugar in a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed. Beat until fluffy. Beat in the large eggs and bananas until smooth. Beat in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt just until mixed. Stir in the peanuts and chocolate chips. At this time add in 1 tablespoon of the creamy peanut butter. Pour batter into pan.

  3. Step 3

    Bake for one hour or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes.

  4. Step 4

    In a microwave safe dish melt some more of the chocolate chips. Mix the peanut butter and melted chocolate together. Place in plastic bag. Cut i slit in one of the corners of the bag. Decorated the bread with a drizzled texture.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be careful not to over melt the chocolate chips. Watch then carefully.
