Ever heard of the 13 minute omelet? It's a super easy and fun way to make an omelet. This is a great way to make breakfast for many people at one time...without doing hardly anything! Your kids will love doing this!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • small ziplock bags
  • omelet fixins
  1. Step 1

Bring a pot of water to a boil.

  2. Step 2

Have each person get their own ziplock bag. Each person will crack 2 eggs (no more than 2!) into their bag. Squish the bag a bit to break the eggs up.

  3. Step 3

Have all the omelette ingredients out to make this part easier. It'll be like an omelette buffet :)

Each person gets the omelette ingredients they want: ham, cheese, bacon, peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc....and puts the ingredients into the bag.

Close the bag and shake it up to mix the ingredients. MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL THE AIR OUT OF THE BAG!

  4. Step 4

IF YOUR DOING MULTIPLE BAGS: Write each persons name on the bag with a sharpie before putting them into the pot.

  5. Step 5

Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for EXACTLY 13 minutes.

If you are doing many bags, you need to put them in the pot at the exact same time because this 13 minute thing is crucial and if you put them in at different times you will lose track of each bags time in the pot.

    Set a timer, I'll repeat..IT MUST BE 13 MINUTES!

  6. Step 6

After 13 minutes, immediately take the bags out of the pot. Open the bags and the omelet will just roll out easily and be really fluffy!

TADA! That was kinda fun huh?!
