Commemorate a special day at the beach or summer vacation with a tiny sand castle perfect for scrapbook pages or memory books. Create one yourself using a few simple tools and your imagination.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 sheet sandpaper
  • 1 exacto knife (optional)
  • 1 bottle of glue
  • 1 bottle of glitter
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • pencil
  • craft paper (optional)
  • 1 craft mat or cutting board (optional)
  1. Step 1

Turn your sheets of sand paper face down on your craft mat or covered surface (so you won't scratch your table surface when cutting). Draw the basic design of your sand castle using a pencil.

  2. Step 2

Cut along the lines using a pair of craft scissors. Turn the cutout castle over and make sure the design looks the way you want it, trimming away any excess paper or rough edges.

  5. Step 5

For extra-glitter sand, lightly coat your castle in craft glue, then sprinkle with clear glitter and let dry. Add any extras you want, such as tiny craft paper flags for your turrets.

Tips & Warnings
  • Any grade of sand paper should be fine: just make sure it captures the look you want and isn't too sharp or rough to the touch.
