How to Clean Kitchen Cabinet Hardware

Has the moisture, grease, and heat taken a toll on your kitchen cabinet hardware? Have they lost their shine? If so it's time to get that kitchen cabinet hardware cleaned up. Follow these steps to get your cabinet hardware nice and clean!

Things You'll Need

• Hot Water
• White Distilled Vinegar
• Dish washing soap
• Screwdriver

Instructions

1. Use a screwdriver to remove the hardware from the cabinets and drawers.

2. Fill your sink with warm water and distilled white vinegar. Make the mixture half water and half vinegar.

3. Place the kitchen cabinet hardware into the water and vinegar and allow it to soak for 1-2 hours.

4. Drain the sink and refill with warm water and dish washing soap. Lightly scrub the hardware. The vinegar should have loosened the grease and grime so you shouldn't have to scrub to hard. Using a toothbrush to scrub the hardware works best.

5. Rinse the hardware well and place on paper towels to dry. Allow the kitchen cabinet hardware to dry completely.

6. Use a screwdriver to put the kitchen cabinet hardware back on the cabinets and drawers.

7. Enjoy your nice clean kitchen cabinet hardware.
