How to Care for Wood Table Tops

Wood table tops are in almost every home. Caring for your tabletop should be a top priority to insure a long beautiful life for your table tops.

Instructions

1. Many people and wood surfaced tables in their homes. Not everyone knows how to protect them. As with many things prevention is key. Always use coasters and never allow water to sit on wood products.

2. The best method of cleaning a wood table top is to take a slightly dampened cloth with a very small amount of neutral detergent and wipe the top down. Wipe it immediately with dry cloth to remove any excess water.

3. Do not place your table in a high humidity area or in direct sunlight. Always use padding before placing a hot or sharp item on your table.

4. Polishes are actually discouraged as the create a build up over time. If a polish must be used Guardsman Furniture Polish is recommended and should be used sparingly.
