How to Take Care of Your Pressing

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    First step is to set up your ironing board to just past waist height.
    Second, set up your iron, plug it in and set knob to type of clothes you are ironing, i.e. cotton.

  2. Step 2

    Second step, Spray your iron garment with water. If you choose spray spray starch on all over lightly about 4 inches away.

  3. Step 3

    Put item on ironing board. If it is a 100% cotton shirt and you have the iron set at cotton with water in it to give off steam you are good to start.
    First press the collar. 2nd the sleeves. Put sleeve down flat and iron one side so it has a nice crease. Iron back side of sleeve. Repeat for 2nd sleeve.
    Next iron back - line up on ironing board on small end.
    Last iron the front. Iron around buttons with the curves in the iron. Might have to hold iron to a count of 5 if the cotton is thick.

Tips & Warnings
  • Steamers take less time. Hang on hangar and stand with steamer to get wrinkles out.
