Step 1
When removing caulk due to mold make sure you remove all the caulk, not just the moldy area as it will infect the surrounding caulk.

Begin by cutting out the caulk with a utility knife with a sharp blade. Be careful to not harm your surface or yourself. Cut along the joint on both sides as close to the wall and surface as possible.

Step 3
Remove the remaining caulk by using the hook end of a painters 5-in-1 tool.

Step 4
After removing the caulk be sure to clean the area with a mildew killing product. Be careful not to mix products.

Step 5
When replacing the caulk carefully read the instructions to insure you have the proper product and it is smoothed properly.
