Things You'll Need:
- Assorted glass accents
- Starfish and seashells
- Dried flowers
- Wooden accents
- Artwork
- Candles
-
Step 1
Decorating your mantel for SpringStart by placing your artwork in the center of the mantel so that you can work around it and create your look. Try to find artwork that is a reminder of the warm weather outdoors. You could even get creative and make a piece of art and have it framed.
-
Step 2
Spring MantelNext, start to arrange your glass vases and various other decorations on either side of your artwork. Try and strike a balance size wise on either side of the mantel so that it looks symmetrical to the eye. You do not have to have the same pieces on each side, just try to find similar sized objects to decorate with.
-
Step 3
Spring MantelNow, begin to add smaller accents to your mantel such as starfish and seashells. Step back and see where you need to add or rearrange anything.
-
Step 4
Spring Fireplace MantelNow, add dried flowers and any wooden accents that you have to your look. This will add texture and break up all of the glass objects that are placed together.
-
Step 5
Spring MantelWhen you are satisfied with your arrangement you should get a sense of warmth as you step back and admire your work. Little votive candles lit up at night will add a soft glow as well and be a reminder of warm spring evenings.
