Things You'll Need:
- Empty cereal box
- scissors (either adult supervision or help)
- Markers, glitter pens or crayons
- Glue
- Stapler
- Paper
- Calendar template software or computer with internet connection
- Printer
- Photos
- string, yarn, twine or ribbon (to hang the calendar up with)
-
Step 1
To make a calendar for Mom for Mother's day, have Dad cut a cereal box to use either the front or backside for mounting the calendar pages to. Kids can decorate the edges of the cardboard how ever they choose.
-
Step 2
Log onto the internet and print off black and white calendar pages for each month of the year. There are plenty of templates to choose from, some have coloring pictures and some don't. See the resource section below for links to some templates.
-
Step 3
Kids can color the calendar pages as they choose and Dad can add any special dates to remember through out the year. Or if you choose to create a calendar to add your own photo to, just print off the calendar grid.
-
Step 4
Staple the calendar pages to the cereal box cardboard, starting with January, (or May in this case) and each month in the correct order thereafter.
-
Step 5
Punch out two holes at the top of the cardboard to tie string, twine, yarn or ribbon to hang your special calendar for Mother's day!
