Today most people don't really carry cash. Most of us use a credit/debit card, or use checks. It's just more convenient. But perhaps by carrying just a small amount of cash for simple purchases we could save money in the end..

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • cash
  • a bank of some sort
  1. Step 1

Get a bank of some sort. (Its doesn't have to be a pig..) Any simple jar will do. Once you have your bank place it in a convenient area around your house.

  2. Step 2

Carry around a small amount of cash along with whatever credit/debit card or checkbook you might use. Use cash for small purchases like coffee, small household needs, fast food, and other simple buys.

  3. Step 3

Collect the change that you get from using cash for these purchases, keep it in your bank/jar, and allow it to add up. I didn't think that this could really produce so much "extra", but I've got a piggy sitting in my room that's collected about $80 just from saving the small amounts of change I get. Use the change you collect for something fun!
