Step 1
The spider plant (Chlorophytum Comosum) - These plants are native to tropical or sub-tropical forests, where they receive light through the branches of taller trees. Their leaves allow them to photosynthesize effectively under relatively low light, which in turn allows them to process gasses effectively in the air.
-
Step 2
Heart-leaf Philodendron - These are examples of plants used for cleaning air in our homes. Philodendrons are among the best for removing formaldehyde from the air especially at higher concentrations. At lower concentration it’s found that Aloe Vera removes formaldehyde efficiently.
-
Step 3
Chrysanthemums (Chrysanthemum indicum) - these are plants that clean the air by removing benzene. Benzene is an air borne chemical that causes health problems such as headaches, loss of appetite, drowsiness and many more.
-
Step 4
Bamboo palm (Chamaedorea seifrizii) - Bamboo palm is another effective plant for purifying air in our houses. Bamboo palm is effective for treating Trichloroethylene. Trichloroethylenes are chemicals that are used in paints, inks and varnishes. This chemical produces gases that are harmful.
-
Step 5
Golden pothos (Chrysanthemum indicum) - Another air cleaning plant in our houses. It is an effective plant for treating Epipiremnum aureum, a harmful chemical in our houses.
