Things You'll Need:
- 2 cups milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 10 tablespoons granular sugar
- 2 cups whipped heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons green tea powder
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 5 tablespoons hot water
- Crushed ice or ice cubes
- Cold water
- Ice cream maker, optional

Step 1
In a large bowl, mix well together the green tea powder and hot water. Reserve.

In a saucepan, lightly whisk egg yolks, then add cornstarch, sugar and mix well. Slowly add milk in the pan. Blend.

Step 3
Place the pan over low heat and simmer the mixture, stirring frequently. Remove the pan from the heat when the mixture is thickened.
Put pan in the sink. Fill sink with crushed iced or ice cube and cold water to cool the mixture. While the pan is chilling, add green tea (from step 1) in the egg mixture, mix well. -
Step 4
Add heavy whipped cream to the mixture in pot, and stir. Leave the ice cream mixture in the ice for at least 30 minutes.

Green tea ice cream for dessertFollow the instructions of the ice cream maker, then pour the mixture in an ice cream maker, freeze. Or pour the mixture in a large container and cool in freezer for at least 4 hours, until set and firm. Makes 8-10 servings.
