Fizzy salt is a kind of a mixture of bath salts and bath bombs. They have the texture of bath salts and the fizzing of bath bombs. Fizzy salts moisturize and soften skin while adding relaxation to bath time. They are fun, easy and also inexpensive to make. What would be a better way to spend time with the kids? Kids not only enjoy making fizzy salts but also enjoy using them. They are also great to give as gifts for all kinds of occasions.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup of Epsom Salt
  • 1 cup of Sea Salt
  • 1 cup of Baking Soda
  • 1/2 cup of Citric Acid
  • Food Color of choice
  • 1 tsp. of Skin safe fragrance oil of choice(opional)
  • large mixing bowl
  • mixing spoon
  • funnel
  • container or jar
  1. Step 1

    Mix Epsom Salt, Sea Salt and Baking Soda together well in large mixing bowl

  2. Step 2

    Add a few drops of food color for desired color and mix well

  3. Step 3

    Add 1 tsp. of Skin safe fragrance oil and mix well. (optional)

  4. Step 4

    Add ½ cup of Citric Acid and mix well

  5. Step 5

    Use funnel to place mixture in a jar or container of choice

  6. Step 6

    Seal jar or container and decorate as desired

Tips & Warnings
  • - Make sure Baking Soda is sifted. Baking Soda tends to clump if not sifted.
  • Use only Skin safe fragrance oil
  • May find Citric Acid at hobby stores, pharmacies and also online.
  • May hear a popping noise when jar is unsealed. This is from the Citric Acid.
  • Use in warm water to get the maximum fizz
