Step 1
For breakfast each day I recommend either cut up fruit (pineapple is especially good)and skim milk or a bowel of cereal and skim milk. The milk is important. It has protein in it and will give you needed energy. The fruit or cereal will give you fiber to keep you full.

If you require a snack in the morning try to keep it small, once again with protein and fiber. Something like string cheese and a few wheat thins.

Now for both lunch and dinner you can have either soup, salad (use a low calorie dressing)or a sandwich. Once again I recommend skim milk to drink. If you are still hungry try adding a fiber filled fruit like an apple. This diet is great because you can have variety. A bowl of soup, average (not sub sized) sandwich or salad can be prepared in many ways, but most of them will be low in calories and high in nutrients.

Step 4
I recommend sticking with this diet as a guideline, but there is no need to be religious about it. Feel free to make occasional indulgences once you have the pattern set and you will continue to see the pounds melt away.
