If you love to read, or just be crafty, then this activity will suit you perfectly.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Art Box with groove on top
  • Markers
  • Glue (Elmer's)
  1. Step 1

First you want to find an art box that has a section on top of it that is empty. It may say spacemaker on it but that is ok.

  2. Step 2

You want to color the long, skinny section of the art box with your favorite colors. You can use many different colors, and make many different designs.

  3. Step 3

Next, you want to take the glue and spread evenly on the place where you colored. Make sure you don't put too much on it. Make sure it doesn't overflow the grooved area.

  4. Step 4

It will take a while to dry. A couple of days or more. You want to check on it every day. Once it is completely dry, you will not see any white glue. It will turn almost clear, and you will be able to see you colorful creation.

  5. Step 5

Once it is completely dry, use a butter knife, or other skinny utensils, to pry the new bookmark out of the groove. Once you do this, you may want to let it dry one more day. Then after that, you will be able to use it as a bookmark. You can go show it off to all of your friends.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure the glue is the kind that squirts out the top. NO STICK GLUE.
  • Make sure the glue is completely dry before you take the bookmark out, or it will ruin it.
  • You will be able to make more creative bookmarks as you do this more often. You may also be able to use glitter glue.
  • I recommend to use Elmer's Glue.
  • This could be messy.
