Saving money does require some discipline. However, it does not require you to deprive yourself and prevent the enjoyment of the money for which you work hard.
This requires no special knowledge, nor years of financial education. I am going to provide you with a simple tip I use to save money and the way in which I do it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Checking or savings account
  • Income
  • A Little Discipline
  1. Step 1

Determine an amount of money each month you feel comfortable spending on frivolous or indulgent things like lattes, lunches, or other forms of entertainment.
Personally, I set aside $160.00 per month. Spend only that amount. If you run out of money before the end of the month, then you must wait until the next month to replenish your supply of cash for entertainment.

  2. Step 2

    2. Go to the bank or ATM and on the 1st day of each month and withdraw an amount of cash equal to the amount you have decided to spend. If you have money left over from the previous month, then only withdraw the amount of cash necessary to bring you back to the starting amount. The difference should remain in your interest-bearing checking or savings account.

  3. Step 3
You can have more of these in front of your dollars

    3. Repeat this process each month. As time goes by, you will save money by having now set up a simple system for the control of the one category that accounts for some of the worst over spending in everyone's budget.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you are continually overspending or under spending, adjust the amount accordingly.
  • This may entice you to control other areas of your spending and cause you to become financially sound.
