Things You'll Need:
- Tweezers
- Eyebrow pencil/chopsticks
-
Step 1
The best eyebrow shape for your face is generally the one you were born with (minus some hair). Before you start plucking, spend some time in the mirror examining your eyebrows and brow bone. Don't stray too far from what you have.
-
Step 2
To begin, follow the natural curve of your eyebrows. Pluck the sparse hairs beneath your main eyebrow line. These "sparse hairs" are those which do not disappear into a thick line.
-
Step 3
Pluck the area between your eyebrows (the unibrow area) but do not go farther than the place where the bridge of your nose meets your forehead. You may pluck too much, making your eyes look far apart.
-
Step 4
With an eyebrow pencil or chopstick find the natural arch of your eyebrow. Place the pencil at the middle of your mouth and place it diagonally across your face so that it hits the outside of your nose and right next to your iris. Where the pencil hits your eyebrow is where your arch is. Pluck accordingly.
-
Step 5
It's best not to pluck the outside of your eyebrow (where it tapers to a point) but if you feel the area needs improvement pluck the hair beneath it, rather than shortening it.
-
Step 6
Be realistic. If you have naturally curved eyebrows it's going to be difficult to achieve a heavily arched eyebrow. Again, the best eyebrow shape for your face is the one you were born with. However, this doesn't mean you have to limit yourself to one eyebrow shape.
