Things You'll Need:
- Baskets
- Eggs
- Candy
- Easter bonnet
- Golden egg
- Clipboard
- Paper
- Pen
- Plastic eggs or envelopes
-
Step 1
Plan where the hunt will be located and what age group will be participating. Determine what time it will start and end, who will help, and how many clues can be used.
-
Step 2
Place a piece of paper in the clipboard and write out a list of hints. Write easy hints for young children. The older the participants, the harder the hints should be.
-
Step 3
Draw a map of the locations where each hint will be hidden in an item pertaining to the hunt. For instance, you can tape a hint to a stone or place in a basket.
-
Step 4
Prepare the scavenger hunt items. If teams are to bring back scavenged items, then you must have multiples to hide. Six teams will require six baskets, for an example.
-
Step 5
Write or type hints and attach to the items for the Easter scavenger hunt.
-
Step 6
Sneak out and hide all of the hints and hunt items a few hours before the hunt.
-
Step 7
Plan a community-wide hunt. Write hints for the participants to search for items that they must bring in to the starting point. The team that scavenges the most by an appointed time wins. They are not allowed to buy the items.
