How to Find Your Spiritual Gift

God has given each person unique spiritual gifts that He wants them to use to glorify Him. What are your spiritual gifts?? Read below to find out.

1. Look at your daily life. Spiritual gifts are often similar to talents that we use at home and on our jobs. If you are organized, the church office may be able to use you. If you are outgoing, maybe your church needs greeters to hand out bulletins.

2. Observe mature believers around you. They have spent years developing their spiritual gifts, and should be able to give you some pointers. Are some of them involved in ministries that interest you? Offer to help, and you may find your spiritual gift.

3. Take a spiritual gifts test. These are available free at a number of website online, and can help you to determine what you enjoy. Remember to answer the questions honestly! Answering as your ideal person disregards the person God made you to be, and the gifts He gave you to use.

4. Pray that God would show you what your gifts are. He can bring situations, and opportunities into your life that reveal to yourself and other what those gifts are. Pay attention to what He is showing you!!!

5. Use your gifts. Now you know what they are, utilize them. As you practice them, you will become increasingly skilled and more comfortable in them.

Tips & Warnings

• Your spiritual gifts may change over time. Re-evaluate yourself in a few years.
• Pray, and ask God to show you what your gifts are.
• Enjoy your gifts. If you don't feel blessed after serving in your "gifted" areas, perhaps those are not actually your gifts.
• Don't expect yourself to be perfect. There will be some areas that you are not gifted in. Let others serve there and focus on what God has given you.
