Things You'll Need:
- Fresh fruit
- A juicer
- Ice cube trays
-
Step 1
Juice cubes are great to have on hand.Take an ice cube tray and fill it with fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice. Freeze them, and than put them in a plastic bag in the freezer. If you are in the mood for a glass of lemonade or limeade, just put 2 cubes in an 8 oz glass of water, and a tsp. of sugar, and you have a wonderful glass of juice.
-
Step 2
Got some fresh strawberries? Add crushed strawberries with fresh squeezed lemon juice, and freeze in ice cube trays. Add to a glass of your favorite wine, and enjoy. I have tried it with white zin, and other light colored wines, and it is great.
-
Step 3
You can do the same with limes, oranges, or grapefruit juices as well. Having the cubes makes a glass of water become a quick glass of your favorite citrus juice at any time of the day or night. And one can not have too much Vitamen C in their diet. Also, remember that a full freezer runs less than an empty one, therefore saving you more money! So if you do not have fresh fruit to make into cubes, use water or get creative with freezing other items in ice cube trays for future use. I have done things such as scrambled eggs, milk for using in recipes, and chicken or beef broth .
