Starting a weight loss program is not an easy chore. Most people who start, usually quit at some point in their program. So how to start and keep it going for months and years to come. I will share my tips in this article.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Workout Partner
  • Discipline
  • Dedication
  • 20 minutes a day
  1. Step 1

Find a workout partner. When I first started working out I had a workout partner. I believe without that partner, I wouldn't be where I am today. I have now been personal training over 15 years and love my job.

Oh by the way, Find a workout partner or hire a personal trainer. You need someone that can keep you accountable. This is the only way to stay disciplined.

  2. Step 2
    Junk Food
    Junk Food

Throw away all the junk food. This means no more pizzas, sodas/diet, and fast food, especially fried food. I tell all my clients to have 1 cheat hour a week. That means for 1 hour per week they can eat anything and everything they want. By having that 1 hour you will feel like your not depriving yourself, which helps you to stay on your plan.

  3. Step 3

You will need to make small and long term goals. You may even break it down to daily goals, weekly goals, monthly, and even longer. Not having goals is one the biggest indicators that one will fail. They say if you don't know what you want, how will you know when you attain it.

  4. Step 4

If your not seeing the progress you want, do not get discouraged. This is a journey, not a sprint. I see this all too often. Someone gains a pound, and they are so depressed they end of quitting. Talk to your partner or trainer about these issues. They have great experience in explaining what's happening with your body.

  5. Step 5
    Boxing Routine

Do something fun thats active. Whether its playing a sport, taking a hike, or going for a bike ride. Do something you would enjoying doing. The exercise part won't seem so terrible.

Tips & Warnings
  • Find Workout partner
  • Hire Personal Trainer
