There are three main types of vinegar. They include Distilled, Cider and Wine.

  1. Step 1

    Wine Vinegars are made from fermented grapes. The quality usually depends on the type of grape used. Wine Vinegars are quite similar to wines, coming with flavors like red wine, rice wine, white wine, and many more.

  2. Step 2

    Distilled Vinegar is made from fermented grain. It has a strong acidic taste to it, and shouldn't ever be used alone.

  3. Step 3

    Cider Vinegar is made from apples that are fermented, which gives it a slightly fruity flavor and a strong bite. The best quality of apple cider vinegar is raw and unfiltered.

  4. Step 4

    There are still many different of vinegars, and these three main types can also come in many other types. Many vinegars will be infused with flavors such as fruit flavors, herbs, spices, vegetables, and other more general blends. Cider Vinegars are usually infused with spices. Distilled Vinegars are usually infused with fruits. And Wine Vinegars are usually infused with herbs, spices, and fruits.
