Instructions

    • 1

Take the bread pan out of your bread maker. It should be clean with the blade inserted. The bread pan should be coated with a non-stick surface so there is no need to grease it unless it has been scratched.

    • 2

Pour the wet ingredients--the warm water, the yeast and the honey--into the bread pan. Stir until the honey has been dissolved. If you are unsure if the yeast is active, let it sit for minute to see if it foams up.

    • 3

Add your flour and salt, and set the bread pan back into the pan. Make sure it is set securely in place. Close the lid and plug in the machine.

    • 4

Turn the machine on for a medium loaf and then select your preferences. Allow the machine to run through the different cycles until the light flashes that it has finished baking the bread.

    • 5

Open the cover and remove the bread pan using a potholder to protect your hands. Lift the bread pan straight out and then invert it to remove the bread.

    • 6

Allow the bread to cool before removing the kneading blade. Slice the bread with a sharp serrated knife. Store in a plastic bag at room temperature.
