There is no cure for rosacea, but it can be controlled. Proper treatments for rosacea, will help keep it subdued and hard to detect. If you suffer from rosacea, start here to learn how to start treating your skin the right way.

What is rosacea? It is a small reddish rash that appears on the face, generally in the middle, under the eyes, and around the nose. It varies from severe, to not so noticeable. How severe your rosacea is can help determine what is the best way to treat it.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Cleansing-

When washing your face, avoid using warm or hot water. Warm temperatures can aggravate and inflame the breakout. Use cool water and a mild soap.

  2. Step 2

    Ointment-

It's helpful to apply sulfur acne medications all over the face. Find a product that works for you and doesn't cause too much drying. Start a routine of applying, keep maintaining the routine even when there is no rosacea present. This will help prevent and manage break outs.

  3. Step 3

    Covering up-

When rosacea is present and you are looking to cover it up,use green moisturizers and cover ups made to help hide the redness. Use oil-free products and light foundations.

  4. Step 4

    Seeking professional help-

If rosacea is severe, it is beneficial to see a dermatologist to help with rosacea treatment. A dermatologist can prescribe Tetracycline or other antibiotics commonly given to help control rosacea.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't use cortisone creams- after a few applications, it can actually make rosacea worse.
