Step 1
Enlist the help of your family. This is not the time for hubby to go play golf or your daughter or son to go hang out with some friends because they fear they will be in YOUR way while YOU clean. Break up in teams if you have the people power. If not, have everyone take a room. Put some music on, everyone gets a chance to play a couple of songs they like. Music is an awesome tool to use while cleaning!
-
Step 2
Keep all your cleaning items in a large plastic bin you can bring with you to each room or each level of your house. This will cut down on running around to get the cleaning product you need. Everything will be in one spot.
-
Step 3
Swiffer Skating! A great way to get your floors done is putting two Swiffer wet pads (or any brand of wet pads) on the floor. Step on them and go skating! When the bottoms are dirty, you can turn them around and keep going. Make sure you are NOT wearing just socks when you are doing this! When your kids see the fun you are having. They will be fighting to do it, too! Give each kid a set and send them on their way to the next room that needs to be mopped.
-
Step 4
It will make so much sense to start at the top and work down. It will make a lot less work as well. Start with your ceilings, dusting and getting cobwebs down. Work your way from your walls, to your counter tops, to your furniture and then lastly sweeping and mopping your floors. Top to Bottom!
-
Step 5
Cleaning Wipes ARE your friend. It takes a lot of time to spray, scrub, and rinse. What if you could just use a wipe that did all that? There are so many kinds of cleaning wipes now days that you can find one for almost every job!
