Things You'll Need:
- Distilled white vinegar
- Warm water
-
Step 1
Keep a spray bottle filled with a solution of half distilled white vinegar and half water. You can use this solution to clean your kitchen counter tops, tables, bathroom sinks, toilets, and showers. Simply spray the solution on and wipe with a sponge and warm water. The acid in the vinegar will kill bacteria in moments.
-
Step 2
If you have a drain that is draining slowly pour two cups of distilled white vinegar into the drain and let sit for about thirty minutes. Then run hot water down the drain. It should be clear.
-
Step 3
If your dishwasher has soap buildup vinegar can help resolve it. Simply pour 2 cups of distilled white vinegar into the dish washer and run it for a full cycle. It will not only remove the buildup but will also cut down on odors and help clear the dishwasher drain.
-
Step 4
If you happen to forget clothes in the washing machine for a day or so and they have a mold or mildew smell add one cup of distilled white vinegar to the washing machine. Run the clothes through a rinse cycle and then a regular wash cycle. The vinegar will remove the smell and disinfect.
-
Step 5
To clean your microwave place a cup of distilled white vinegar inside the microwave. Heat the vinegar for 2-3 minutes. The vinegar should be steaming by then. This steam or mist from the vinegar will help soften the mess inside the microwave. Then use a sponge, warm water and vinegar spray to wipe the microwave clean.
