Before doing anything with your Norton AntiVirus or any Norton product it is necessary to make sure that you have the product key that goes with your Norton product. You will need it to install and reinstall as well as update your Norton product. Norton uses the product key to keep track of your subscription that is attached to your Symantec / Norton product at the time of your initial purchase. Your Norton subscription entitles you to usually 1 year of Symantec product updates and the latest virus definitions available. On more recent products you cannot even use the software without it, aside from the initial 15 day trial period. 1. Method 1
   If you purchased your Norton AntiVirus or Symantec product at a local retail location or the actual media online and had it shipped to you then you will find your Norton Product Key on the back of the CD sleeve that your Norton product came in.

2. Method 2
   If you originally purchased your Norton product online and downloaded the software then you would have received a confirmation email containing your Norton product key. Check through your email history. Maybe you still have the email.

3. Method 3
   When you originally installed your Norton product you were asked to create a Norton Account. Here you provided an email address and created a password under which your Norton product and product key were registered. You can login to My Norton Account to retrieve this information. 4. Method 4
   The Symantec Order Lookup page is another method you can try to find your Norton Product Key. The link is provided below in the resources section. Here you need to provide one of the following: EITHER YOUR ORDER # AND YOUR PASSWORD OR YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS AND THE LAST 5 DIGITS OF THE CREDIT CARD YOU USED TO MAKE THE PURCHASE.
