1. Find a website that you can do free postings, Craigslist is a good example. Create an account. You will need to take several pictures of the vehicle. You need one from each angle to show all aspects of the vehicle. Including pictures of the motor and interior of the car. (Make sure the car is clean). Most people also like to see pictures of the tires to show the tread wear. Also pictures of the odometer to show actual milage.

2. On the website you will find an upload section to upload all pictures. Craigslist I know will only allow a few pictures. In this case on your posting you can state that more pictures can be e-mailed upon request. In the desription you will need to state the year, make, model, milage, features, running condition. If there are any problems with the vehicle it is better to be honest and list the issues and you could also list the cost of the parts to repair, (you can obtain this from your local auto parts store). If there is any problems next to the price you will need to put that this is negotionable.

3. Do not put any of your personal informantion. You may list a contact number or an e-mail for people to contact you. Only list the city that the vehicle is located in. People will ask for the VIN# do not post this on your listing only if people ask directly. As they will need this to run a carfax report on the Vehicle. When listing a price on the vehicle, it is best to run the value through a website that specializes in values such as KBB and NADA. This will give you an estamite. However you will not normally get quite this much.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not accept money orders, checks, cashiers checks or bank transfers. It is best to post CASH ONLY. If you are accepting a large amount in cash it may be best to get fraud dection pens to test the cash before accecting. (Just note these are not 100% accurate)
