Step 1
How to make a wood end blown flute It is not all that hard first you need a round piece of wood about 24 inches long are longer that is 2 to
2 ½ diameter
Now you need to cut it in half lengthwise
Then about 7 to 8 inch from one end start to hollow the wood out to the other end leaving about ¼ inch outer shell -
Step 2
now at the other end about 4 to 5 inches from the end with a drill 1 inch drill bite make a ¼ inch deep hole on booth sides to where they will match as close as possible when clued back together
now at the ¼ inch hole make a mark to the top of the flute in a 45 degree angel mark it at the top
At the other side where you hollowed it out there should still be a space mark the end on top this is where you make the other hole in a 45 degree angel
Glue the 2 pieces back together with epoxie glue let dry for the required time
Now drill the 2 holes in the top of the flute in a 45-degree angel smoothing them out with a small square file -
Step 3
Cut a channel from 1 hole to the other about 1/16 inch deep
Now hold the flute up as if you are going to play it and mark the spots where your fingers will go and drill ¼ inch holes where you mark the fingers
At the other end of the flute drill a 1/8-inch hole all the way till air will blow throw it
Carve the one end into a mouth peace
Then take a small peace of wood that will cover the channel and fasten it on with string leather
Now move it back and fourth till you hear a tone from the flute as you blow it
If it does not make a tone then take the small square file and file the to 45 degree hole a little at a time till the tone is heard
