Just got that sweet new glider, but don't know what it eats? Well, just about anything you eat they can eat.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Various fruits and veggies, feeding dishes
  1. Step 1

First you need to know that gliders need a balanced diet of fruits, veggies and protien. 75% fruits and veggies and 25% protien. I feed on a FOUR day cycle. Day 1-3 I feed fruits and veggies, Day 4 I feed protiens. Gliders love sweet things and will eat the sweets before anything else! Be sure to cut all the food up into small pieces, about quarter inch cubes will do okay.

  2. Step 2

Now for fruits, any type of fruit will do, especially if it is sweet. My baby girl loves honeydew melons and pineapples! Here is a short list of what I feed her.
    Honeydew Melons
    Watermelon
    Cantelope
    Grapes
    Pineapples
    Apples
    Strawberries
    Blueberries
    Mango
    Pear
    Peaches
    Plums

  3. Step 3

    On to the veggie list!
    CORN!!
    peas
    green beans
    lima beans
    carrots
celery...she plays with it more than she eats it

  4. Step 4

PROTEIN in the form of boiled chicken or meal worms which you can get at any large pet store. Never feed insects or bugs that you catch yourself they could have pesticides on them! My little one likes chicken and home made dried beef jerky.

  5. Step 5

Just remember to try new foods and keep the pieces small. Always have fresh water for your glider to drink, because they can become dehydrated quickly. Another treat you can give is nectar juices from the juice aisle at your local supermarket. Good luck with your new pet!

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep food cut up in small pieces
  • Always use FRESH OR FROZEN
  • NEVER USE CANNED FRUITS OR VEGGIES
  • Rotate different foods
  • NEVER feed insects caught outside!
