Things You'll Need:
- Toothbrush
- Small Cleaning Tube W/ Bristles
- New Cartridge

Step 1
First, you will want to unplug your filter system.

Next, tilt up your filter system to drain a small portion of the water so that you do not spill water on your floor. Hold the filter above the fish tank for about 15 seconds to make sure the water doesn't drain.

Bring the filter system over to your sink to clean it.

Pull the cover off of your filter system.

Gently begin to dismantle your filter system. Some of the tubes that shoot water out might pull out from the side. Be careful not to break any of the pieces.

Using the toothbrush, clean off each part of your filter sytem. After you clean it, run it under clean water to remove all of the excess debris.

You can use a small brush with bristles to get inside of tubes that the toothbrush will not fit into.

Step 8
Once you have cleaned each part, put the filter system back together. Rinse out the filter system with fresh water.

Step 9
Place new filter cartridges into the filter system and fill up the filter with water.

Carry the filter back to your fish tank and plug the filter system in. (Make sure you remember to fill up the filter before you plug it in)
