Buy a Swimsuit or Bikini
Buy a Swimsuit or Bikini

Summer is the time to slip into your swimsuit or bikini and head to the beach. How do you know whether to buy a one piece or a two-piece? Every woman has a different figure. Depending on what you buy, it is easy to emphasize your best parts. One-piece swimsuits can be as chic as bikinis. When you start looking for a swimsuit that fits your figure try and have self-confidence. You will pick out a great bikini if you feel good about yourself and follow a few of these tips. You should start looking for the suit that is best for your figure and the correct size for your body. When shopping around, consider that the top of the bikini might be a larger or smaller size than the bottom part depending on your size. Start by asking yourself what body shape you have and go from there. Buy an awesome one-piece or bikini and head to the pool with confidence.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Round or Apple Shape – If you are very round, try and find a dark colored swimsuit. You may want to consider getting a one piece because it will help slim you down. If you choose a one-piece swimsuit look for one that has a lower neckline. A low-neck line will emphasize the top part of your body.

  2. Step 2

Hourglass Shape – If you have a figure like an hourglass try a bikini instead of a one-piece. A bikini will draw attention to your waist and away from your hips.

  3. Step 3

Slender Through and Through – Try a bikini that has shorts or a skirt for a bottom. The shorts will help to widen out your hips. Use your slenderness to feel confident in a bikini. Try a bikini top without straps. This will really emphasize your shoulders.

  4. Step 4

Large and Loving it – Very large women can feel stunning in the right swimsuit. Try a swimsuit with a built in skirt. These are great for covering up and hiding away excess fat on the hips. Find a lower cut top to emphasize your best parts.

  5. Step 5

Large Chest and Small Waist – Find a bikini with boy shorts and a halter-top. The halter top will keep your chest at bay and the shorts will widen your hips.

  6. Step 6

Short Legs – If you have really short legs, look for a one-piece suit that will lengthen your body. Bikinis have a tendency to make a person look shorter, however you can try a string bikini that will take attention away from your short legs.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember that ninety percent of women feel uncomfortable about their bodies so it is very important to have confidence when buying a swimsuit or bikini.
  • Think about what you want to show off: your chest? Legs? Shoulders? Waist? Hips?
  • Start shopping several months before summer begins. You will find a wider selection and better prices.
  • Avoid the extremes: too skimpy, too much pattern, too many frills or a solid color.
