How to Interior Design On Budget

You've just moved into your new apartment and you are on a budget. The walls are plain white the carpet is a dull color. Boring. You want to make your apartment look nice but how?

1. 

   Pick a color scheme. This is the first and most important step. Decide on a color scheme before you go the store so that you won't buy everything because it looks nice and have a whole lot of pieces that don't fit your apartment theme.

2. 

   Sart with the floor and the walls Go to Walmart or Ikea if you have one close buy. Buy inexpensive rugs and pictures that match your theme. If your apartment is small buy mirrors instead of pictures to make it look bigger. Keep it bright it makes your place look bigger and less cluttered get sheer curtains or keep your blinds open to let in the natural light from outside.

3. 

   Next step is furniture. Go to Walmart's website, Ikea and even rummage sales to find you a couch that you like. It doesn't matter if it is a designer couch or not you can always put an inexpensive slipcover on it to make it look however you want. You will need tables. Don't spend alot on tables buy you a cheap table from anywhere Walmart target etc. If you have a bright color theme going on and you can't find lime green table buy go a bucket of paint and some plastic to go on your floor and be creative.

4. Buy colorful lamps that fit your theme, don't forget about the plants they can be real or fake but they will give your new apratment more of a tranqility feel. Follow these steps and your plain living room that everyone would see when they walk in your new apartment will be tranqill paradise full of serenity.
